With a little help from our friends. We have absolutely amazing people in the crew - actually you are the crew - you, the people who constantly turn up to do a good deed for the planet with no other intentions than wanting to help this planet. You are the most kind hearted and amazing people and we are proud to know you all. We also believe that our local council wanted to show how awesome you all are because we have just received some gumboots and grabbers from them. It's a good day! Thank you all!
What some of the unusual items you have found on a beach clean up? The Northern Beaches Clean Up Crew have found a shark strangled to death by an elastic in Dee Why, a dinosaur suit in Freshwater, a bicycle in Curl Curl Lagoon and on our last clean up we found ice crampons at Mona Vale Beach.
Some of our lovely crew members behave like animals and we love them for it 😊

We picked up 1664 plastic straws, 212 plastic lids, 82 plastic super market bags, 84 drink bottles, 854 plastic food wraps, 96 pieces of hard plastic, 612 pieces of plastic remnants, 181 random plastic bits, thousands of Styrofoam balls, 214 beer bottles, 477 pieces of broken glass, 106 aluminium cans, 198 metal lids, 32 balloons or pieces of balloons, 19 thongs, 1 table and 1 broken dinosaur suit and much more. A massive thank you to everyone!
We would just like to say how thankful we are for everyone who joins the crew and helps create awareness about plastic pollution. We couldn't do this without you. We love meeting everyone and you all makes us believe in kindness and hope for our planet
Come and join us for our January clean up at Dee Why lagoon. We'll meet in the grass area on the pathway between Clarence Street and Pittwater road in Dee Why - see map in our event. We have gloves (no kids gloves - sorry), bags and buckets. We'll clean up this area to try and catch all the litter before it enters the ocean. We're trying to remove as much plastic and rubbish as possible - there are plenty of big items on this clean up to pick up, so we'll be cleaning up for a bit longer today - of course it's ok if you need to leave earlier - we're happy for any help! Plastic bottles, glass bottles, aluminum cans and milk crates. If you have gumboots it would be great if you could bring them because this clean up will be muddy. We're a friendly group of people and everyone is welcome to this family friendly event. It's a nice community - make some new friends and do a good deed for the planet at the same time. Parking on the streets close by, Pittwater road (ok to park in the bus lane on Sundays, Clarenece Street, Hawkesbury Avenue etc). Message us on Facebook or on Instagram if you are lost. All welcome - the more the merrier. Please invite your friends too.
Come and join us for our December clean up at Palm beach - we're meeting close to "The Boathouse" - see map in the event as well as our post for carpooling. Its our first clean up at Palm beach - so we're really looking forward to this one. We have gloves (no kids gloves - sorry), bags and buckets.
